The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, in cooperation with the Civil Service and Government Development Bureau and the Ministry of Labour, organised a specialised introductory workshop titled “Higher Education… Learn About Our Specialisations” to enhance awareness of academic pathways, with broad participation from representatives of government and private entities across the country.
The workshop, held at the ministry’s theatre and supervised by the Higher Education Sector, aimed to introduce the integrated services available to employees wishing to pursue postgraduate studies, whether through government scholarship programmes or self-funded study options, as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and integration among state institutions.
The workshop delivered a comprehensive presentation covering all procedural aspects, starting from explaining the requirements for obtaining prior approval for study, to the mechanisms for equivalency of university degrees to ensure the accreditation of academic qualifications according to approved regulations. It also reviewed the strict standards and requirements that educational institutions and study programmes must meet to ensure the quality of educational outcomes in line with national standards.
The sessions also addressed in detail the postgraduate studies programme within the government scholarship plan, including admission requirements and an introduction to the “Amiri Scholarship” universities and approved institutions, enabling employees to choose prestigious academic pathways that align with their professional ambitions.
In addition, the workshop highlighted key educational opportunities and specialisations that support labour market needs, while providing guidance on selecting recommended universities to promote high-quality and credible higher education.
The organisation of this event comes as part of joint efforts with partners to enhance awareness of academic procedures and facilitate the scholarship journey, contributing to the development of national talents and the improvement of their academic competencies in line with the pillars of Qatar National Vision 2030 and sustainable development goals.
