Qatar Honoured at the Hamdan Bin Rashid Educational Awards in Dubai

His Excellency Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, attended the ceremony honouring the winners from the State of Qatar for the 2025 edition of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences awards, held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The event celebrated outstanding winners and distinguished educational models from across the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

The ceremony was attended by His Highness Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan Al Maktoum, Supreme President of the Foundation, Dr Mohammed bin Saud Al Muqbel, Director General of the Arab Bureau of Education for the Gulf States, and Dr Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Executive Director of the Foundation, alongside a number of Gulf educational officials and leaders.

Among the honoured recipients from Qatar in the Outstanding School category were Al Khansa Primary School for Girls and Sumaya Primary School for Girls. In the Outstanding Student category, student Mohammed Ali Al Hail from Abdullah bin Ali Al Musnad Secondary School for Boys and student Ghaleb Saleh Shajea from Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School for Boys were recognised.

In the field of professional excellence, teacher Moza Saeed Al Marikhi from Al Khwarizmi Primary School for Girls was honoured after winning the Outstanding Teacher award. Ms Enas Mahmoud Hassan, Deputy Principal for Academic Affairs at Ruqayya Preparatory School for Girls, was also recognised among the winners of the “Outstanding Educator” category, a recently introduced Gulf-level category aimed at supporting the development and enhancement of educational practices.

This recognition reflects the distinguished level achieved by educational professionals and students in Qatar and highlights the success of national efforts in supporting excellence and innovation within the education sector. It also strengthens the presence of Qatari talents in Gulf and regional educational forums and supports the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 in building an education system aligned with international best practices.
