The Ministry of Education and Higher Education, represented by the Educational Planning, Policy, and Innovation Department, concluded the sixth season of the Educational Research and Development Discussion Sessions 2026, which were held virtually via Microsoft Teams. The initiative forms part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to strengthen evidence-based educational decision-making, enrich research practices, and support the development of educational policies in the State of Qatar.
The discussion sessions covered a range of priority educational topics, including the relationship between electronic games and aggressive behaviour among adolescents, opportunities for developing pre-kindergarten education, standards for approving tuition and additional fees in private schools, and the teaching profession from the perspective of secondary school students. The sessions also addressed regulatory frameworks related to surveys, questionnaires, and institutional policies connected to educational work.
The sessions witnessed the participation of educational leaders, consultants, researchers, and representatives from various educational departments, whose contributions helped deepen discussions and support recommendations aimed at enhancing the educational system.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to promoting educational scientific research and utilising its outcomes to improve the quality of education, strengthen educational policies and programmes, and achieve the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030.
