Education Ministry Concludes “My Values Shape My Identity” Project with 351 Private Schools Participating

The Department of Private Schools and Kindergartens at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education concluded the “My Values Shape My Identity” project for the 2025–2026 academic year during a ceremony held at the Ministry’s theatre. The project aimed to strengthen national identity and educational values among private school students and reinforce loyalty and belonging to the nation through integrated educational initiatives and activities.

His Excellency Dr Ibrahim bin Saleh Al Nuaimi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education, alongside assistant undersecretaries, ministry leaders, and representatives of national partner organisations, inaugurated the exhibition accompanying the ceremony, which featured participation from private schools and several government entities.

The participating booths showcased the project’s initiatives and student work, reflecting students’ understanding of educational and national values and how they translated them into practical daily behaviours. Students also delivered interactive presentations highlighting the impact of these values in their lives.

The project was implemented in cooperation with the Future Leaders Education Centre as a key partner, alongside 21 national organisations. It included five main initiatives: “Safe Sailing,” “Aseel,” “Ikhaa,” “Fitrah,” and “Yourself is a Trust,” focusing on safe technology use, strengthening national belonging, promoting respect and tolerance, supporting sound values, and enhancing students’ health and psychological awareness.

The current academic year witnessed several qualitative developments, including the introduction of a school classification guide with categories such as Supreme Diamond, Diamond, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, activating the “Values Ambassadors” programme in private schools, increasing interaction through the project’s platform, and welcoming two new national partners: the Qatar Cancer Society and Wijdan Cultural Centre.

Since its launch, the project has achieved continuous growth, with the number of participating schools increasing from 135 to 351 private schools during the 2025–2026 academic year. More than 123,000 students benefited from the project’s activities by May 2026, reflecting its growing positive impact across private schools.

During the ceremony, Mr Omar Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Private Education Affairs, stated that the project reflects the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening national identity and authentic Qatari values among students. He noted that the project has successfully translated these values into positive behaviours and practices through educational initiatives and diverse student participation.

He also highlighted the important role of private schools, teachers, parents, and national partners in supporting the project’s objectives, stressing that promoting national identity requires cooperation and integration among educational institutions and national entities to prepare a generation proud of its identity and capable of serving the nation.

Dr Rania Mohammed, Director of the Department of Private Schools and Acting Director of Private School Licensing, reviewed the project’s journey since its launch, noting that it has gone through several stages of development, including the creation of integrated educational programmes, impact assessment tools, specialised initiatives, and strengthened national partnerships that expanded its influence in private schools.

She added that the 2025–2026 academic year witnessed major developments, including implementing the school classification standards, activating the “Values Ambassadors” programme, enhancing interaction through the project’s electronic platform, and expanding the network of supporting national partners.

The ceremony also featured a video presentation reviewing the project’s journey since its inception, while students from Al Jazeera Academy performed a play highlighting the importance of the Arabic language in daily life, which received strong appreciation from attendees.

At the conclusion of the event, the Department of Private Schools and Kindergartens honoured national partners, outstanding schools, distinguished students, and student “Values Ambassadors” in recognition of their contributions to promoting positive values, strengthening belonging and responsibility within school communities, and supporting the success of the project’s educational and national goals.
